• A project participated at the university completing my Bachelors degree in Financial Management

This was our group project.There were six participants in our group and we decided to develop a financial plan for a start up business.Accordingly we conducted a market research to gather information about potential customers and businesses already operating in our area to find a competitive advantage for our business.We decided our financial goals and developed realistic assumptions of our financial situation at that time.then we determined our start up cost creating a forecast of sales and also a pricing strategy concerning the production cost, competitor pricing,customer demand and profit margins,promotions and discounts etc.Then we decided our estimated expenses using the knowledge in budgeting and according to the industry statistics.Next, the crucial step of raising money by analysing the potential sources of financing which are cost effective.Finally we created a strategy for reviewing and revising the plan in a timely basis.

This was an excellent project which we able to score 90 marks out of 100 and also I could be able to apply my theoretical knowledge to a practical business scenario.Also it was a great opportunity for me to  enhance my team work skills by being a good listener and accepting ideas of the other members.

  •  Internship program at the final semester of the university to complete the Individual Project

I worked as an intern for six months in Sri Lanka Telecom Plc which is a telecommunication company in Sri Lanka. I worked under the branch senior accountant,assisted with general accounting functions of the office.I mainly assisted with account receivables and payables ,petty cash handling,recording transactions equipped with  double entry system and general ledger balancing.

  • Trainings Attended while working as a banker

I have participated to several trainings specially aligned with customer service standards which helped me to develop my interpersonal skills,product knowledge,cross selling skills, conflict resolution and some soft skills like patience, adoptability and problem solving.

I attended another few training programs of data security,negotiable instruments and fraudulent banking  practices of the society which helped me to  improve  my skills of accountability,accuracy, integrity and quick learning skills.
